Micro-Niche Example: Men, 30–33 years old who are self-employed homeowners earning $150k – $200k annually. Many of whom reached out to our company within five years of buying their home. They have a wife, one to two kids, and volunteer their time in the community, often coaching their children's sports teams.
The Nuance: The ability to refine marketing lists by age group, income level, job title, and marital status will allow you to increase your ROAS significantly. But the real magic comes when you add behavioral data.
- You now know a major life event (purchased a home within five years) makes them acutely receptive to certain services.
- You know their interests and what motivates them (protecting their investment, family safety, community involvement).
- As a youth coach, you know they will be at a sporting event most weekends. Now you can develop a game plan to advertise where they are congregating (online or offline).
Enter the Conversation in Their Head
You must cross-reference their behavior with their motivations on an emotional level and custom tailor your marketing messaging to their needs and fears. Don't be afraid to reach out to the list of "dream clients" you have identified and interview them to get more detail on their motivations.
If you offer home services, you may find that these individuals reached out to your company for home remodeling not just to upgrade, but because their motivation is to update their home to protect their investment, ensuring they provide a safe environment for their family.
